A decade later, social media marketing took over and every attempt at marketing was incomplete without their integration (still to a large extent). However, the likes of Twitter and Facebook are fast paving the way for the era of chatbots.

If anything is done by technology predictions, chatbots will soon usher in some of the most important engagements with brands, thus a paradigm shift in the essence of marketing.

We are not far from a time when people would ultimately consider chatbots as an appropriate marketing tool, regularly relying on them to shop, verify flight / hotel details and inquire about brands Do it A lot of this is already happening and chatbots can soon become humans like humans.

When this happens, the field of search marketing is also bound to revolutionize, as users will spend too much time engaging with chatbots as opposed to checking the results of search engines. This will make many branded apps obsolete as people will prefer to connect via messaging apps, which are already comfortable and reduce the time spent on search engines.

We asked chatbot expert Murray Newlands the founder of Chattypeople.com, a free chatboat tool.

The role of chatbots in shaping the future of social media apps
Consumers are increasingly migrating to messaging apps from traditional social networks such as WeChat, Slack, Apple iMassage, and of course Facebook Messenger. The growing growth of these messaging platforms actually exceeds the four largest social networks in existence. This is a win-win situation for both consumers and businesses, who are becoming easier to navigate their way through reduced ad exhaustion and competition, as well as increased demonetization, resulting in better ROI.

Furthermore, messaging apps have eclipsed social media apps in terms of attracting new active users, which is hardly surprising. Here, chatbots have a big role because they enable users to search for content through their favorite messaging app.

Apart from making it really convenient for users to find content, chatbots are also increasing the efficiency of the entire process as many developers are making them intrinsically personal. In the case of a business, one does not need to rely on Google search to learn more about the product or business plan; They can take advantage of the bot to do just that and address their questions quickly.

Changing Social Media Marketing Through Engagement

Chatbots are now seriously considered as a powerful tool to change the core of social marketing by changing the meaning of engagement. Unlike traditional concepts of online advertising, in which engagement refers to clicking videos or advertisements, engaging with a bot is essentially about having an actual conversation with a bot that looks human.
